Judith Kuijs-Ligthart (1973)

In June 2011, I started working as a controller at AVH Dairy. If customers have any questions about their invoices or other financial matters they can ask me. My work consists mainly of taking care of all internal and external financial . At the same time I try to clarify these to the management and report to the board of directors.

The world of international trading is one that is familiar. I studied international management at the HEAO (school of economics) and started to work as a commercial/logistics office assistant. After having had four children I decided to start working part time and became an accountant after some retraining. At AVH I work three days a week. It is a busy and exciting job and the work is quite interesting. Giving my best in this job I truly regard as adding something substantial.

The informal atmosphere at work is something I really like. AVH’s motto is doing business from the heart and based on mutual respect which also gives us the chance to develop ourselves. I regard that motto as a very powerful one; it improves doing business and makes working here all the more pleasant.

I live in a village ten kilometers further down so I can go to work by bike which I nearly always do. Our office is in a beautiful building in the middle of the woods and in summer we often drink our coffee or eat our lunch outside, something which I tremendously enjoy.
